Environmental monitoring program area: Mountains

The aim for the program area Mountains is to monitor the terrestrial ecosystems in mountain areas.

The program area mainly focuses on three national environmental quality objectives:

  • A Magnificent Mountain Landscape
  • A Non-toxic Environment
  • Reduced Climate Impact

Reference group

Reference groups are used to cooperate and exchange information with other stakeholders in the monitoring area, often relevant governmental agencies, municipalities and County Administrative Boards.

There is currently no reference group for this program area.

Revisions

The latest program revision was done in 1999, as a part of a total revision for the environmental monitoring program. The subprograms for small mammals and toxic pollutants where evaluated in connection to a revision of toxic substance monitoring in 2006.
